My God & I | Faith.

Hey dolls! How are you all doing today? Wonderful? Thank God.

Remember the category I thought of introducing in my Catching Up post? Well here it is! It will be under the category My God & I so you can easily assess it.

Also we (yes we, it is going to be a very interactive category with posts, testimonies and etc from different people who want others to know what God has done or what they were going through and how they overcame) will be using the hashtag #MySalvationExperience so if you share a post on Instagram or Facebook please use the hashtag so we can easily find the story and republish here on the blog, how exciting is that! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพ

Today I want to talk about having Faith. You know the Christian walk is about having faith. Everywhere I turn in my Bible and every sermon I hear is about having faith; believing, trusting which are synonyms for having faith.  It can be so difficult to believe in something you cannot see, not to talk of someone who is invisible, so difficult, that’s why people rather worship idols that they can see and relate with than someone or some powers which they cannot see.

I want to talk about having faith in God, the invisible, only wise and living God. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 – faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things yet unseen, that means having faith means you believe, trust, agree without a doubt that that thing is done already and you’re only waiting for the physical manifestation.

Let me gist you how faith works in Christianity, I left home one morning with about 350n in my purse and I completely forgot to take the remaining 1000n sitting in my wardrobe for transportation, I had almost gotten to my bus-stop before I realized that I didn’t take the 1000n and it was either I trek back home or trek to work lol there was no in between and suddenly my heart beat so strong and deep with panic (panic is groundless fear, fear with no basis) almost leading to fear then the Holy Spirit spoke to me with all assurity:

Holy Spirit – Bookie, remember what you read this morning before leaving for work, Hebrews 13:5 the concluding verse which says “I will never leave or abandon you” this is God speaking, remember 2 Corinthians 5:7 – for we walk by faith and not by sight and you know that without faith it is impossible to please God, read your Open Heavens.

Me – Wo Holy Spirit this isn’t a matter of Open Heavens.

Holy Spirit – Read your Open Heavens.

Reluctantly I opened it on my phone and the Bible verse for that day was Psalm 47:1 – o clap your hands, o ye people; shout unto God with a voice of triumph and I was familiar with the song Rez Power and immediately I started to sing, remembering Avalanche choir of COZA and I started to tap my bag and make an inaudible shout unto God because I was in a commercial vehicle with joy in my heart I knew God was going to take care of me and take me to work and back home with just 350n.
Long story short I got to work, a colleague gave me 500n saying “please take this money, something is just telling me to give you, please take it” and I immediately just thanked God and in my mind I was like “ehnhen? Is this how it works? Just by believing that God will do it because it is written in His Word? Just like that I can eat and transport myself to my house, wow God this is amazing

#MySalvationExperience

This is just a tip of the iceberg, I will still be sharing on faith this week because God has done more than this but I’m trying to build a foundation so we can understand how this God of ours works. What can we learn about my testimony? To have a testimony like this, you must:

  • Always read the Bible, the Holy Spirit can only remind you or instruct you on what you have read in the Word of God.
  • Always follow that voice in your spirit because it is the Holy Spirit speaking to your human spirit.
  • Always believe that God will never put you to shame, like He said in Hebrews 13:5- I will never leave or abandon you .
  • Always thank God because it is done, sealed, delivered, mixed with faith and manifested!

If you have a testimony to share about having faith and how faith works, do send an email to hello@bookiekunlere.com and it will be shared on here!

Looking forward to your comments, have an awesometastic day loves!

  2. Hmmm I struggle everyday with my relationship with God…one minute I’m all for him the next “what is bible” but I constantly remind myself of the ultimate goal when I can especially when things are hard and my only option is to look up to him…this is where my faith is put to test! Like okay will I chill and wait for my father to take control or will I panic and try to sort things out myself…anyways I only pray for grace sha…thanks darling for this post you’re definitely going to sit amongst kings

    1. I’m just smiling, you know, having a relationship with God isn’t difficult, just ask the Holy Spirit to help you but first you must purge yourself of all sins, invite the Holy Spirit into your life then it will be better, lol I am a living testimony.
