Product Review: ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Leave-In Conditioning Creme.

Me to Me: You need to do better, you can’t be dropping one blog post monthly, do better sis.

I’ve been so caught up with building a brand that I’ve neglected my blog, sigh. I need to do better.

Anyway, with that out of the way, hellllloooooo! Long time no natural hair post!

My hair has been dry throughout 2017, I actually neglected it anyway, ever since I went blonde, it just changed everything about my hair.

I’m currently thinking of relaxing it for my next Nappyversary because I cannot “natural” again.

Anyway, my friend advised me to switch products up, maybe my hair was tired of the regular products so I went to my local supermarket and saw this beauty in the hair aisle.

I’ve actually been eyeing this Monoi Oil line ever since it came out in 2015 I think and it is a total lifesaver! Let’s proceed to the review.

Product: ORS Monoi Oil Anti-Breakage Leave-In Conditioning Creme with Omega 3&6.

Product Promise: Helps reduce protein loss for stronger hair, moisturizes and improves manageability and shine.

Ingredients: Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Canola Oil, Stearalkonium Chloride, Glycerin, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Coconut Oil, Gardenia Tahitensis Flower Extract, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Olive Oil, Panthenol, Tocopheral Acetate, Tocopheral Dimethicone, Polyquaternium- 10, Disodium EDTA, BHT, Citric Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropionalm Coumarin, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Limonene, Linaool.

Directions:

Daily Hair Use: Apply liberally to clean, wet hair. Comb or finger through for even distribution. Style as desired.

Daily Hair Refresh: Re-apply daily to dry or brittle hair to reactivate natural curls. Allow to dry naturally.

Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment: Apply liberally to clean, wet, detangled hair. Comb through for even distribution. Cover hair with a plastic cap and sit under a war, dryer for 10-15 minutes or leave in overnight. Allow it to cool, remove plastic cap and style as desired. For best results on fine/medium hair, rinse out product before styling.

Size: 473 ml/16 fl. oz.

Smell: It smells so good, floral but it doesn’t linger just in case you don’t like it.

Consistency: Medium thick.

Price: N1500.

Where To Buy: Local supermarket.

How I Use:

After deep conditioning, I apply this to my hair in sections, detangling as I apply it, then I plait or twist my hair.

As a daily refresher, this is amazing because once I apply it to my already dry hair, it just makes it super soft and moisturized.

What I Think:

  • I looooovvveeee this product! I’m yet to try it as a deep conditioner but I’m gonna do that and experience moisture on another level.
  • I don’t know if it’s helped improve my hair in terms of strengthening but it sure is moisturizing.
  • I think medium-thick leave-in conditioners are perfect for my current hair situation, not that shea butter stress that leaves my hair oily (I’m no longer a shea butter stan abeg).
  • I think ORS does it right with their products, check out my review of their rinse out conditioner and shampoo.
  • For the price (N1500) and the size (16 oz) it’s a steal!

Will I Buy Again?

Umm guess who is getting another jar once salary is paid? Umm yes, me.

Have you used any product from ORS? Tell me in the comment section.

Love,

Bookie.

  1. It’s nice they have a leave in cream. It kind of looks like cantu leave in conditioning cream which am currently using. Well currently am also using the ORS creamy shampoo and the replenishing conditioner and it is really good 👌

  2. Your review is making me want to try it.
I thought I was the only one contemplating applying relaxers or texturizers.. My hair is a 4Z hair if there anything like that. But my resolution for my hair2017 is to keep it under protective style often than before…
I would look out for this product tho..
My hair needs “a softner intervention”.
