Back to this review, I’ve always been battling with pimples on my forehead and cheeks so I decided to try something else asides the Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent that I had been using all year.

You know when you’ve been using a product for so long your body/face gets so used to it and then it stops functioning? Am I the only one who has noticed this please?

Anyway, I decided to try something new and I just had to get my hands on this, let’s get into the review.

Product: The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution.

Product details: Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxyl acid that exfoliates the skin. This 2% treatment solution helps exfoliate the inside walls of pores to fight the appearance of blemishes and for better visible skin clarity with continued use.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Hamamelis Virginiana Leaf Water, Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Salicylic Acid, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Citric Acid, Polysorbate 20, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Ethoxydiglycol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, 1,2-hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol.

Directions: Use in the AM and PM. Apply a small dot directly on spots for visible improvement or apply a small amount over the face to maintain visible clarity with continued use. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Do not rinse off.

How I Use

• On freshly washed face, I apply this using the dropper on my forehead, cheeks, jaw, neck, chest and back (basically where I have pimples).

• I rub into my skin till it disappears (it disappears in seconds by the way)

What I Think

• I love that this Salicylic Acid is mixed with Witch Hazel which makes it nondrying and quite moisturizing too.

With daily use (morning and night), I noticed significant reduction in the appearance of pimples on my face (I’d have attached a picture but I’ve relented a bit because of laziness so I’d definitely post it on my Instagram).

I love that it doesn’t tingle or irritate my skin.

I love the dropper applicator for precision.

I love the simplicity of this brand too, anything black and white just gets me so yes there that.
