Product Review: El-Glittas Hair Wonder.

Hey loves, how are you today?

I know everyone has probably seen this product somewhere in Lagos, either at the supermarket or on the road, you’ve sha seen it.

I was drawn to it because of marketing lol, the supermarket where I buy most of my beauty products had it in stock so I said why not just try this and see if it lives up to the hype?

Product: El-Glittas Hair Wonder.

Product Promise: Rich daily moisturizer and repair.

Ingredients: Zinginber Officinale, Rosemary, Lavender, Biotin Lemon Grass, Centella Asiatica, Pahax Ginseno, Moringa Oleifera, Virgin Coconut Oil, Peppermint, Aloe Barbadensis, Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Castor Oil, Neem, Elcpta Alba, Curry Leaf Powder, Olive Oil, Ginger, Garlic.

Directions: There’s none listed on it, just uses.

Size: 200g.

Smell: It smells quite nice.

Consistency: Medium thick, like regular hair cremes with petrolatum.

Price: N700.

Where To Buy: Local supermarket.

How I Use:

When I first got this, I apply it on just me scalp and edges, once in two weeks or when I remember to lol.

After deep conditioning one day, I decided to use it as a leave in moisturizer so I applied it to both my scalp and hair, EPIC FAIL! My scalp was itching after two days, it was a greasy mess.

What I Think:

  • A part of me feels there’s petrolatum in this product, hmmm.
  • The first ingredient is Ginger, but it’s also listed as the second to last ingredient, what you doing El-Glittas?
  • I feel they just copied a bunch of botanical names and just packed it in the ingredient list because that’s what sold me honestly.
  • This product should be used sparsely like on edges and all, I don’t really recommend it for daily application.
  • For the price it is okay but they can do better in terms of ingredient list.

Will I Buy Again?

No, once I exhaust this I’m not going to repurchase. However I want to try their two in one shampoo and conditioner.

  1. I really don’t see anything great about this product….
I bought it based on the ad as well. I have used it a couple of times. My younger brother took more than half of the cup, and after that I never used. Maybe I got bored, or my hair just realised that ‘ko le werk ‘.

  2. Actually, i bought mine since october 2016 and I’m still on that same container. I don’t know if it works or not, i feel it’s overhyped. I get little itchy scalp & dandruff when i use it in excess. I recently bought their shampoo which is quite better.

  3. I actually love the product for the shiny appearance it gives my hair after a wash; and its nice smell. I don’t think it made my head itchy tho.
It does make my hair grow; I noticed that whenever I applied it on my Ghana weaving, it made my hair develop undergrowth so rapidly.

  4. I actually came here to check cause of the itchy scalp. My scalp is so itchy and hair on my edges is falling out from all the scratching. Nice smell than most products though. Not for me. I wanted to grow my edges they are now worse than before cause of all the scratching

  5. I used this product when I was relaxed the container calls it a moisturizer but this works wonders as a sealant don’t mind the ingredients list to get the best result use a moisturizing leave on conditioner first then apply on top do not use this more than twice in a week it can build up easily which leads to the itchiness don’t apply to your scalp as well. I know this product as something that prevents breakage if used properly as for growing your hair I can’t attest to that.

  6. I don’t know, in the make up ingredients of the one I bought just yesterday, it has Ginger missing in the lists of the ingredients.
